Peter Reid - Chair Peter is Chief Investment Officer and Executive main Board Director of Ignis Asset Management. Ignis is a very successful, leading asset management company employing over 350 people in Glasgow and has circa £40b Funds under Management in a mixture of equities, bonds, property and cash. Ignis manages a range of products for pension, life and Charity funds, as well as retail products including unit trusts. Peter has been on the Ignis Board for 9 years. He has extensive UK and global investment experience, investing in a broad range of companies both large and small. Peter was educated at Edinburgh University where he gained an MA (Hons) in Economics in 1985. Peter is also on the Scottish Committee of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. Donald Stewart Donald Stewart has been in community theatre for twenty years having won a plethora of awards for, amongst other things, ignoring criticism. Currently the proud manager of he multi award winning Cumnock Community College Donald is a theatre practitioner, published author, associate assessor for HMIe, examiner and marker for the SQA, former Assessor and Specialist Advisor for the Arts Council as well as the father of five, exhausted man and insomniac. Currently a Board member of Sweet For Addicts, Ayr United Football Academy, Ayrshire Youth Theatre and Chair of The Space Place (Prestwick) Limited. He combines his love of all things dramatic with the somnambulant pursuit of Ayr United FC - evidence of hope over reality. Sara Grady Sara has a strong background in theatre and film production, specialising in educational outreach development. Sara is currently employed as Children & Education Programme Director for the Edinburgh International Book Festival where she creates a programme of over 300 events for children and schools which reaches over 45,000 young people.
Sheena MacDougall Sheena has a wealth of experience working inclusively with a wide range of children, young people and adult learners on a variety of creative arts projects. She currently works at Glasgow Media Access Centre coordinating community outreach projects.
Gerry Ramage Gerry trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His directing work includes productions for The Tron Theatre Glasgow, Kings Head London, Raindog Theatre Company and the New Zealand International Arts Festival. He co-founded Solar Bear in 2002. His work with and for young people is highly regarded, and he is regularly invited to talk at national conferences about it, and how the arts can impact on the lives of young people. As Artistic Director (Creative Learning and Development), he was responsible for delivering and directing a large-scale outreach project, which led to the creation of a new play, Broken, at Tramway in 2007. He will soon begin work on Off Side, a new play for young audiences, which will be performed in a sight specific venue at a date to be announced. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the companies outreach work. Patron: Kate Dickie Kate's feature film debut was as Jackie in RED ROAD at the Cannes Film Festival 2006, where the film was awarded the Jury Prize and Kate was nominated for the Prix d'Interpretation Feminine. Her reviews were exceptional and Screen International dubbed her "the rose of Cannes". Kate has made several successfully received short films and has had a distinguished British television career, being nominated for Best Television Performance BAFTA (Scotland) for TINSEL TOWN (Raindog Productions for BBC) and playing lead roles in THE VICE (Granada) and TAGGART (STV), as well as many comedy roles for the BBC in STILL GAME, RAB C NESBITT and ISABELLE. She is a critically acclaimed theatre actress, having been nominated for Best Actress by The Stage for her performance in ELECTRA, and is a considerable presence on the cutting edge of new theatre in productions such as RUNNING GIRL for leading innovative Scottish companies including Suspect Culture, Theatre Cryptic and Boilerhouse.
