What is Creative Learning?

Creating Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens and Effective Contributors.

Creative Learning (or Outreach) is the name given to the work that SOLAR BEAR delivers in the community. We offer Drama, Writing, Film making and Music workshops and projects in schools, community groups and other organisations providing services for children, young people and adults.

Our Creative Learning Strand continues to grow, with over 300 people taking part in a variety of workshops, projects and productions in 2008, whilst almost 2,000 people have seen work produced through our Creative Learning Programmes in the last year alone.

Working with children, young people and adults from a wide range of backgrounds, the company is considered to be a leader in its field, especially in relation to the work we do with some of Scotland's most marginalised children and young people.

Regardless of who our client groups are and regardless of what the project is, we believe that participants have the right to an enjoyable, creative experience of the highest quality from which they will have the opportunity to learn, grow in confidence, develop a sense of responsibility and make a positive contribution to the world around them.
