New Theatre for Children

Offside

offside-theatre Currently in development, Offside is a large-scale site specific theatre production. Written by playwright Simon McCallum, it will bring together professional actors and community players from our extensive creative learning programme in a dynamic production that will engage with young people from across Glasgow. The action will centre on a five-a-side football match choreographed by Norman Douglas, telling a story of loyalty, betrayal and trust.

Soul Skin

Soul Skin (working title) will be in development in 2010 and staged as a full-scale production in 2011. This project will bring together a diverse and exciting team of artists at the forefront of their fields to work together for the first time. It will be collaboration between Deaf, hearing and visually impaired artists including performers, directors, writers and musicians. Soul Skin will be devised, but will take as its basis traditional stories of Selkies.
