Broken |
|
Broken was a physical theatre piece which was performed at Tramway in Glasgow. Performed by professional adult actors and a cast of young performers, BROKEN heralded major advancements in theatre-making though the development of unique on-stage aesthetics which combine British Sign Language, speech, sound and movement. Informed by a series of workshops in our Count Me In programme, Broken was developed & created by Solar Bear. The piece centred on the lives of a group of young people who regularly visit a local park. Secrets kept buried for years are unearthed, with tragic consequences. Based around four main characters, we watch as they deal with emotionally brutal topics handled with a gentle dignity and respect. View the gallery here. "BROKEN examines how we communicate...and how we don't," says Director, Gerry Ramage. |
